Glenn Hagele operates a web site at ComplicatedEyes.org in which he claims to take credit for operating a web site that is actually operated by Dr. William Trattler:

Sometimes the best medicine is a community of people who understand and express concern. The ComplicatedEyes Community Bulletin Board is where others who have had similar problems converse, exchange information, and discuss their own personal journey with LASIK complications and other refractive eye surgery issues.
If you then go to
www.complicatedeyes.org/lasik_bbs.htm you can see that he wraps a frame around Dr. Trattler's bulletin board from his own web site and carefully makes it appear that Dr. Trattler's web site is CRSQA "certified". I made an inquiry to Dr. Trattler and received the following message:

First - there is absolutely no relationship between myself and Glenn Hagle or CRSQA. I am a refractive surgeon, and I have no interest in being CRSQA certified. CRSQA certification is a waste of money, and there is nothing that suggests that there is any difference between a surgeon who has CRSQA certfication or not.
Second - AskLasikDocs.com is getting free advertising and free page views. As you are aware, getting people to come to a website is challenging, and currently we all rely on search engines to rank our site high - and hope people click on the link and check out the site. Alternativley, one can pay for advertising. The AskLasikDocs.com site is currently getting free advertising by being hosted on the complicatedeyes website. If you are interested, I offer you the opportunity to host the AskLasikDocs.com website on your own site as well. There is no exclusivity, and I am happy to for more sites to host the bulletin board.
As well - I get to read and monitor every question and answer on the bulletin board. There has never been a claim or comment that AskLasikDocs.com has any affiliation to CRSQA. As well, if Glenn makes a comment and it is incorrect - I am happy (and hopefully quick) to respond.
