Dr. Robert Maloney must be cracking under all of the pressure of not only the lawsuits filed against him, but also that he is finding it necessary to testify on behalf of optometrists who send him countle$$ patient$.

He actually started bawling in the courtroom recently while basically testifying that the State of California's charges against optometrist James Hawley are outrageous. Testimony was halted while facial tissues were retrieved for the overwrought doctor. His crying triggered a similar reaction in Hawley, who also required tissues. The charges Maloney is so upset about are those brought by the California State Attorney General.

If the optometrist loses his license or cannot refer patient$ for la$ik subsequent to disciplinary action by the Board, Dr. Maloney will suffer a loss of income. Both of them refused to admit to how many patient$ are being referred back and forth, but the financial benefit$ of their relation$hip are obviou$. Now may not be a good time to have LASIK with Dr. Maloney, as the stress of this situation is probably making his hands quite shaky and he could possibly start crying again at any given moment.

As I was reading this I was wondering why this was placed under the CRSQA forum, then I remembered, Maloney is certified by CRSQA, right?

Too bad all the Maloney threads aren't in one place.

The posts could be duplicated so that they're not overlooked. We'd hate to have a patient check the surgeons section and miss Maloney because he's featured in the CRSQA threads. Hmmm.
