Another reason Hagele filed and published this "bogus" lawsuit was to lend credence to his frivolous claims that he is a "victim" of defamation, and uses his lawsuit to persuade people to remove negative information about him from the internet.

Jan,
I was disturbed to see that you carry a newsfeed from LasikFraud.com on
your EyeSurgeryNews.org website. The owner of LasikFraud.com is Brent
Hanson who has been found by a Texas court to be guilty of using the
Internet for defamation and is scheduled to be incarnated (sic) in a Texas
jail for contempt of the court’s orders to stop making false and defamatory statements about an eye surgeon.
I have personally be attacked by Mr. Hanson with scurrilous false
accusations and am litigating against him in California.
I respectfully suggest that it would be in the best interest of your
website’s integrity to remove any information derived from Brent Hanson
of LasikFraud.com.

Contrary to Hagele's claim, I am not scheduled to be "incarnated" in a jail in Texas.
